AFI was a let down.
"An hour only, lame. Show starts at 8:15, but I figure I'm not getting out of there until at least 11pm. There were so many songs still to be played. How can you go to a Havok show and not hear Total Immortal or God Called in Sick Today? It should have been an evening with Havok. After a break between sets that was probably longer than the openers played, Davey came out with what I can only describe as a gold leisure suit with a black bedazzled T-shirt. There seemed to be a lot of little breaks, and the encore happened very early. I'm glad he lost the jacket after a couple of songs, or I don't think I could have taken him seriously. There had to be, right? There was no dark opening chant to get the crowd into it. After about a minute or two of chanting, 'One more song!', the house lights came up, and the mad dash for the door game on. No, not so much. So early in fact, everyone just assumed that there was a second. They only played an hour, less than that if you calculate in all of the gaps in between. I think they only played 3 songs of any of the Nitro era records. After a break between sets that was probably longer than the openers played, the stage is filled with fog and a bright light. Seriously though, an hour? 'You've got to be kidding me,' only I'm sure there were some more colorful words. If they were filling in 20 minutes at Warped Tour, I could understand, but this was a headlining show with one opening band. It seems Havok has started to get a new fan base, and this show was geared more to them and the last 3 albums, including the newest which I'm not totally convinced with yet."
